need a blow torch/heater to light coal fire, have seen them in other homes but have been unable to track any down. i don't even know what they are called but need help in obtaining one.

They are called 'Electric Firelighters' one brand is Grenadier, they will light wood or coal in 5-10 minutes then you can turn the heat off and just fan it up till it's well caught!

I dont know if they still exist but people used a thing called a gas poker years ago.It was a metal cylinder with holes with holes that allowed flames to come out and ignite coal without using wood,paper or firelighters

I have in the past used petrol in a bottle (molokov cocktail ) , this worked very well , only one drawback i missed the coal and hit the wall and burnt the house down and my parents wont let me live in the new house they have , so i moved to wales and .......................................................................................................................................................................
