Blonde hair and blue eyes is a trait of northern Europeans. German tribes mixed with the inhabitants of northern Italy and that's why a lot of them have light colored hair and eyes. When I think of Italians, I think olive skin tone, dark eyes, and dark hair.

You are pretty dumb aren't you? Blonde hair and blue eyes doesn't determine your nationality. You couldn't be Italian/american because you aren't Italian. You should go back to school and pay better attention in biology. If your family is french, then that is your nationality. Not all people from Italy have blonde hair and blue eyes. Take me for example. I'm Sicilian with brown hair and green eyes. You really have so much more to learn. Thank you and good luck with your education.

hair and eye color have nothing to do with where your people come from. First you need to ask yourself why you want to disrespect your own heritage because of something someone else might say or not say. you are actually playing more into a stereotype then those who you say make fun of French people. I am part creole and I actually take offence to that.

If you have ANY Italian in your heritage, then technically you are an Italian American.
Embrace all regions of your heredity, it helps make you who you are. Shouldn't you be proud of who you are?

You're not Italian or French. You're American. There, now you don't have to worry about being French.
