I do agree with the term "reverse racism" for several reasons. One of the biggest would be Affirmative Action. Yes, this concept has creative effective diversity across America. The point where the term reverse comes from is this. A standard white male applies to the college of his dreams, however, because of affirmative action, an applicant of a different race with lower test scores, gpa, and academic achievements is admitted in the college. The white in turn is being discrimminated. Because he is not a minority, he wasn't accepted to college of his dreams. The discrimmination however was an action performed because a past unethical world that burdened the advancement of woman and minorities in this country. So it is discrimination to "reverse" the discrimination of the past.

Racism is the practice of bias towards another race, no matter what the race. So your professor is correct, it should simply be called racism. What he seems to infer, however, is that Black discrimination is nonexistent. If that's the case, then he is wrong. The truth is, once you dig beneath all the political nonsense, racism is only tribalism and that began with the invention of tribes. It's as natural as devotion to family, so one can't blame people for being racists. What one can do, nonetheless, is to urge humanity to take the next step on the evolutionary scale and treat the entire human race as one tribe. Then we can go kick the **** out of some extraterrestrial aliens.

"Reverse racism' just sounds like it came out of the mouth of someone stupid, doesn't it?
You'e right, racism is racism. People who are racist towards a group of people because they automatically think that that group is racist towards them (which is ignorant) are the ones who yell 'reverse racism'. Very very tardy.
But, people are just stupid animals. Don't expect too much from them.

I agree
The people who cry reverse racism usually have negative feelings towards other races anyway.
Racism is Racism no matter what race you are.

You are correct...

Grammatically it doesn't make sense! Reverse racism would be NOT discriminating against someone because of their race.

I've always hated that term. It's all racism no matter who's giving or taking said racism.

"Reverse racism" is a silly term which a bunch of fat, rich, pasty-faced white men sitting around a conference table came up with because they were tired of getting poked in the eye with a stick. Which is how FAIRNESS or TRYING TO ATONE FOR PAST MISTAKES or TRYING TO LEVEL THE PLAYING FIELD felt to them.

It's a ridiculous term.

It's pretty hard to "discriminate" against the makers of the rules.
