I asked this a couple days ago, so if you already answered thank you, I'm looking for more answers because I didn't get that many the first time.

My infant is just growing out of all of her 0-3 month clothes, and we know we're not having any more kids so I'm going to get rid of them. I know someone (NOT a close friend) who is willing to buy them all, but I don't really know how much to charge. They're pretty much all Carter's. I was at the mall today and they're all still being sold in stores. There aren't any stains on anything. Do you think 50% of new is fair to charge for them? If not, what do you think they might be worth?

Hmm Well I buy used Osh Kosh overalls sometimes for about $10 I don't know what they are worth new.

I think 30% is probably good, but if you start at 50% you can negotiate.

I would only charge maybe $2.00 per outfit - at the most. That seem reasonable to me. Any more than that they might as well go out and buy new clothes. I am sure they are in great shape and only have been used for a short period of time, but 50% seems a little steep for used clothes unless they are Gymboree or Baby Gap.

Honestly if she is going to buy them all, just tell her a set price you can live with like $25.00 for all items (just an example). If you really want to make some money on them, I would go the Ebay route. If I was selling to someone I know, I would give them a deal - just my opinion.

If you have someone that is wanting to buy your stuff, why don't you have them make you an offer on what they would want to pay for the things. Then you could go from there. My son is almost 8 months old and most of his clothes are from The Childrens Place or Carters. The only thing is that I got most of the stuff at the outlet stores during there summer/winter clearance. You can buy a lot new for very cheap. I got a ton of Carters clothes for between 30-50% off regular price, and The Childrens Place, I got 30 items new for $120.... That includes sweaters, jeans, winter jackets, etc.... If I can buy this stuff new this cheap, I would pass on the used....
So it all comes down to how much the clothes are worth to her -

If they're in good shape I would say maybe 40%. They were only used for a short time which is good and they're still in style. So if you paid $20 for something I would say $8-$9 is fair. The thing about baby clothes is you can find things really cheap brand new, if you get summer clothes when all the winter stuff comes in. So she could get brand new things half price, so you don't want to overcharge.

I've bought lightly used baby clothes on eBay... Got 24 outfits for one cent, plus $4.40 shipping... I wouldn't pay 50% of the new price for them, but that's only because I know I can get them MUCH cheaper... Or next to absolutely nothing, almost free.

I suppose if the person you know is willing to pay that much, go for it. But I would say maybe 30% or so... Kind of funny, how those things depreciate in value so quickly! Hell, I would even suggest Giving them to her. If you're trying to make money off of them, try eBay (won't have much luck selling them for alot though). Used baby clothes are like, valueless, even though I prefer them... I rarely buy them new, unless it's really really cute or we're at the store and he has a blowout :)

I would charge about $3 to $5 per item depending on what it is, an actual outfit $5 but $3 for a sleepers.

this is what i did.

give them to a thrift store or charity, such as Big Brothers Big Sisters or Catholic Charities. they will come and get them from your house. (their phone number should be in your yellow pages under 'charities'). or you can drop ot off at a donation center. they will give you a paper where you can write how much you think the clothing is worth. how ever much you think its worth, just write that, then you can file it with your taxes. youll get that money back.

at the same time, youll be giving a less fortunate baby nice clothes. good luck!

p.s. they also take those things you dont need anymore, like swings, walkers.etc.

I think you can only sell them for about 3.00 each at the most. The person you are selling them to could either buy them on ebay or at garage sales for about this price so they probably really wouldn't want to pay you any more than that. Just look at it this way, your child wore them and at least you are getting something for them most of the time people end up giving them away anyway.

I think it depends on if you really just wanna get rid of them or are trying to make a profit. My cousin GIVES me alot of clothes (as our girls are only 1 year apart) and they are in really good condition; are usually a good brand name too. If they are going to buy the whole lot, then check prices and offer for a lump sum. That's my advice. Good Luck!

I don't know I sould my stuff for a like a 1.00 to 2.00 at a yardsale. But, I was being lite cause I really just wanted to get rid of the stuff. If they are like new, then 50% seems fair.
