Some older forms of tubal ligation become less effective over time, as they are discovering. Please take a urine test. And if you aren't pregnant get someone to review your surgical notes to see what method was used.

I actually know someone that had her tubes tied and conceived a beautiful little boy. She said that her doctor said that this was very rare but it does happen. Take a test. It could also be an indication or menopause or hormone imbalance.

You should have invested in an IUD instead. An interUterine Device. It is a form of birth control that sits in the uterus and lasts 5 to 10 years. Most popular in the US now is called Mirena. Ask your doctor about it and have the tube tieing reversed.

Yes, it can be possible. It's happened with both the girl AND guy fixed, or just the guy (as long as the girl wasn't,you know, sleeping around).
Odd thing is, it almost always happens at, or just before the 7-year mark.
I think it's because effective does eventually wear off?
(I hope not...my husband gets a vasectomy done March 1st !)

When I was in my pre-op appointment with my OBGYN 3 months ago he told me that the failure rate was 1 in 1000, and that he'd just had a woman deliver a baby after having her tubes tied.

i personally haven't, but i have a friend that did. i don't know any details though, except that she thought she was done having children so she got her tubes tied, and along came another.
so it might not hurt to get checked out.
