There is no risk from the semen. A man who has an STD or whose penis is filthy can cause an infection and should be avoided. A healthy man can ejaculate inside you without and adverse effects. Sex is very good while pregnant, it works out the muscles you will need for delivery and the hormones help relieve tension and worry. The connection with your mate boosts your mood and keeps you emotionally healthy.
The only risks from semen and sex are from the oxytocin released during orgasm, and the prostaglandins from the semen. If you are at risk for a preterm birth (which your doctor will discuss with you) then your doctor will tell you not to have sex because the chemicals I have just listed can give labor a little push to get started. For most pregnancies, sex is encouraged. I am in the middle of my third high-risk pregnancy and I am encouraged to have sex frequently up until 28weeks and then again after 36weeks if the baby hasn't come. Even when I cannot make love to my husband, we can cuddle, make out and even do some heavy petting (as long as he stays away from my vaginal area and doesn't bring me to orgasm). If the man does not have an STD, make him take a shower and have at it baby!

That Hasnt hurt me or the baby any of the 4 times Ive been pregnant. Some people will say that there is something in the sperm that is used in hospitals to induce labor, but when its just from having sex, there is not enough of this in the sperm to cause any type of harm. It will not cause preterm labor as some could say. So no its not bad. Read about this being a myth in a baby magazine while I was waiting for my doctors appointment

Never heard of that... I suppose if the guy has an STD or an infection it could be a cause for concern.

It is not bad or unhealthy but is also not recommended, for the safety of the pregnancy.

Sex can induce labour.

No, the sperm will not hurt your baby. Some cultures think so but it's absolutely not true.
