If i purchase a replacement passenger side mirror can i take it to an auto shop and have it put back on? or should i go to the dealer and have them order one for me and charge me and arm and a leg to put it back on?

I had to have mine replaced and the price i got from the factory and from auto parts stores were ridiculous. The best place to get them is ebay. You can buy new ones on ebay but chances are it wont come painted. It will be cheaper to get one from there, and then take it to a body shop and have it put on and painted. They should only charge you about $50 to put it on and paint it. As far as the price on ebay, it depends on the model of your car.

They will all probably charge you the same arm and leg.
don't look at total price look at their /hour rate.
I would probably do it for 100 bucks.
You might take the car to a body shop. they have the pricing from the dealer that helps not to pay too mucha dn can easily replace it.

a side mirror is easy to replace you should be able to do it yourself with a basic tool set.you can email me and i can tell how to do it.
