If you're smart then you will go and get yourself an OEM copy of Windows Vista. This is the special version for computer manufacturers and can only be bought either with a full system or a "major component" from a system such as a graphics card, or hard drive, monitor, etc. This is going for the same price of an XP retail cd (around 70 quid).

Just so you know, if your copy of XP has gone past the end of the activation period then there is no way to crack it. A reinstall is the only option. To crack it you would have had to have installed a crack while you still had access to explorer. This is now blocked and the only way around it is to activate legally.

Good Luck!

It is very dangerous to use software that you have not bought. That is called software piracy. Worse still, you should not be asking that question on Yahoo! questions and answers because you are branding yourself a software pirate.

Play it safe and pay for Windows XP.

You can get a registration number from Microsoft when you purchase the software.

Before you spend any money try one of the free LINUX operating systems. Also. all of the software is free too. My favorite is UBUNTU.
