Pro choice. Always have been always will be.

Think about it, there are lots of the thing gov't can do to eliminate abortions, like free birth control to anyone on demand. But that won't happen because that would be giving people tacit approval to have *gasp* sex!

50% of pregnancies end in miscarriage. But let a doctor step in and do the same thing nature does and suddenly it's murder?

Any country that defends the death penalty has no right to outlaw abortions.

I believe that each woman can make her own decision and I respect that. If I felt it necessary to have an abortion I definetely would have one. I would make sure that I would speak to the father though just to see what he felt about the situation.

Although I agree with abortions I am very careful and always use a couple of forms of contraception so I don't think that I would get pregnant. But if for a medical reason, eg: the baby's quality of life would not be very good, or there were severe health complications I would have the pregnancy terminated.

pro choice
saw a great bumper sticker that says
"if i can't be trusted to make a choice, how can i be trusted with a child'

now this does not say i believe women should use abortion as birth control but there are so many factors to consider and because there are so many things that can happen there needs to be choice should you face an unwanted pregnancy. i myself got pregnant at 28 while on birth control. the birth control means i was not wanting to get pregnant at that time but i did in spite of my efforts not to. i did not abort as i was at a time where i could handle it and i knew i wanted kids sometime soon but what if i wasn't at a time where i could handle it? i am married so "keeping my legs closed" was not an option. i used protection. what more could i have done? some people use all the b/c they can and yet still get pregnant. what if its rape? what if the pregnancy could take the mothers life? so many what ifs there has to be a choice. and those that think that you need to stay celebate if you don't want to get pregnant are not being realistic.

what is the difference between birth control terminating a pregnancy or an abortion? they are both terminating right???

It's very simple. Killing innocent human beings is wrong. Every abortion kills an innocent human being. For more information, see:

Yikes... you are a button-pusher, aren't you sweetie? LOL
~~~~~~~
I'm pro-choice.
Would I ever have an abortion? No. Partly because 6 of the 8 doctors I've seen about my ovaries say I'll never have children, and if God lets it happen (NO MATTER HOW IT DOES), I'll want to keep the child.
I believe that a woman has the right to make any choice as it relates to the child she has been given. In my position, I do wish more people would choose adoption over abortion... there are so many of us willing to give that child a loving home. But it's not my choice to make, it's hers.
I do think the father (outside of rape/incest) should be consulted. But ultimately, it's still the woman who should be permitted to make the choice.
I saw a graphic somewhere... it said:
My Body, My Uterus, My Vagina... My choice. Not Yours.
I am Pro-Life. The creation of a human being is a MIRACLE. It is also God's will. I am Catholic and I don't believe in altering what He has in store for us - especially if it involves terminating a life.
It breaks my heart to think of all the couples who want children and cannot have them...while there are some women who use abortions as a form of birth control. I am sickened by that. All children are a gift.
A life is a life, not a "choice"!
Abortion...
That word has a lot of meaning..
ME I don't believe in it..
WHY because if you are woman / man enough to have sex then you are sure as hell able to take care of a baby..
Once a baby is conceived its a human being..I believe it's murder to have an abortion how could someone kill an innocent human being..
It's not their fault that they are born....
AND
there are plenty of people to give your baby too if you don't want it..
most of them would die for a baby...
NOW in raped/medical situation...
i think it is fine..
but when it is 2 people just having fun/messing up...
I think they should take responsibility for their actions...
you wanna do it you have to deal with the consequences..
THAT'S MY OUTLOOK
and if you don't like it.....
then you shouldn't have asked
I believe that the woman has the right to choose. I know many dont believe in pro-choice and I have never once questioned that. I had a good friend go through it and I feel that it was for the best. It changed my whole outlook.
I don't believe in abortion. I think its wrong. If you are going to do something that you know could lead to getting pregnant you should think before you act! Its still killing someone!! On the other hand, I don't think its fair for someone that's been raped to have to carry a child that way, but maybe they should be offered a morning-after pill when they go get checked out after something like that happens. I guess that way, you aren't flat out killing someone you are just taking a precaution. BUT I do think its wrong if you knowingly kill someone whether they are born yet or not.
