Why are celebrities adopting foriegn children when we have children here in the U.S that need families also?

I see your point but the adopted children from Africa and Cambodia would have had NO OTHER opportunity to ever succeed...so these children are lucky and will be thankful for Jolie, Pitt, Madonna, and others for adopting them.

Because they don't want children or teens, they want cute little babies. The idea of fostering a child that has had rough life and come with a lot of problems doesn't appeal to many US couples, that includes babies who have addiction problems, mental, emotional or physical disabilities.

Publicity. In the US those things are usually kept private, so it doesn't do them any good to adopt one here, when they can go elsewhere and forward their career at the same time.

Because of easier adoption laws overseas as well as easier to bribe the governemtn officials to expedite paperwork.

simply by fact they're rich and that they'd do despite they prefer,that's purely yet in a different way for them to flaunt themselves to the worldwide and say howdy seem im a action picture star and that i'm able to arise with the money for to circulate to different international places and do stupid S#$%.

Personally I think it is very ignorant to do something because it is so cool. I think that we need to look inside before trying to help the world. . .

publicity...not to mention that the countries they are adopting from are too poor to have crack babies...so they will be assured of docile, submissive kids, instead of the lil gangsters that the crack people have....
