I am on the IUD and am in a committed relationship. I am taking Lexipro, for depression, and have had my thryoid checked (which is normal). I have no sex drive. Im never in the mood. When I do have sex my fiance makes sure to try to please me. I have talked to my dr about this not much help, (non at all tells me to get more sleep). Please help. not much stress, just don't ever feel like it.

I would say it is the depression or the lexipro so I would try switching depression medicine. It could also be the hormones in your IUD so if you dont have the ParaGaurd IUD (the only one with no hormones) I would consider switching to that.
Also I would find a more helpful doc or gyno

Stress can cause you to have a low sex drive (just having a 4-year-old can do it for some women). Most anti-depressants have sexual side-effects. Just because it was around before the anti-depressant doesn't mean your sex drive isn't being affected by it.

Also, problems (even minor ones) with your fiance could cause a problem. It's my belief that women have an emotional need for sex, and men have a physical need for sex. That doesn't mean that women don't physically enjoy it, or that men don't have any emotional attachments regarding it. It just means that a woman usually needs to be "psychologically seduced" in the same way a man can be "physically seduced", only it takes a little more work. My husband can get turned on by my just changing into my pajamas at bedtime. For me to really have a healthy sex drive, though, he kind of has to work for it, by helping de-stress in ways that he can (help out with cleaning, dinner, kids, etc.) and take some time to get me in the mood. It just takes communication and a kind of give-and-take situation.

Do you work out on a regular basis and try to eat healthy. That gives me energy and self confidence.
