There are no kill shelters all over California. We're one, but we only take dogs less than 40 pounds.

Try to google or Yahoo search a Boxer Rescue group in your area. Without knowing if your So. Cal or No. Cal it's hard to give you a lead. Also, if you have a Petsmart in your area, they usually have names of the no kill shelters because they do the pet adoptions for local shelters.
I definitely would NOT put an ad in the paper for a free dog to good home. You never know who or what will respond.
Good luck.

Do you have any websites that are just for around your area? Normally they have classifieds or whatever and you can put an ad on there. You see No-kill shelters just mean they won't kill them right away unfortunately. any time I have gotten rid of a pet, I always made sure they were going to a great, responsible home.

Look on-line.They are out there. But first I would place an ad in the paper.Sounds like a beautiful dog.Thx for not putting him in the shelter,,most dont make it out,,some are not put up for adoption & some are sent to experimental labs for life.I really wish that you would find a different place to live. That is like your child.I dont mean to make this harder for you.If I lived near by,,I would take him but I live in NY.I have raised over 60 dogs & own 15 now.Good Luck.

I believe the Humane Society does not kill the dogs, but they do not take all dogs. The dog has to pass a test first. However, your dog seems friendly and Im sure he'll be adopted by someone.
