First, we haven't fallen from power yet so who's to say we won't last 1000 years. Second, the answer is clearly the Soviet Union. They went from arguably being the most powerful nation/state on the planet (certainly the second most powerful) to oblivion in 20 years; from creation of the Soviet Union to collapse was approx. 70 years.

Combined, the Greeks and Romans did not last 1000. Alexander was circa 325 bc. His empire fell apart as soon as he died, less than 5 years after he started. Rome was not an empire until Augustus, circa 40 BC, and collapsed of it's own weight in 410 AD.
The British did not have an Empire in the early days, until their defeat of Napoleon in 1812.
The United States is not an empire, and has not fallen from power. We're still the big boys on the block, just not aggressive like Rome!

We haven't fallen from power yet, and not even close to it. We have survived for 220 years since Delaware was made the first state. Let alone, a bunch of peasants defeating the Red Coats during the Revolution

None of those empires lasted a thousand years. The U.S. remains to be seen. Institutions have their ups and downs. We will have to see as the years pass.

Well, lets see. First, the US isn't an empire...though it surely looks like we're trying to be, we aren't there yet.
