Whenever I shave the day after or 2 days after my neck gets really itchy and I cant stop scratching it which makes my neck go all red and sometimes I get bad spots which sometimes hurt because of it. My face also gets quite oily the day after I shave too which is annoying and makes the spots worse. Is there any way to stop my skin getting oily or any way to stop the itching or make it not itch as much?? Like any creams etc... Please help coz it hurts and is really annoying.

The best time to shave is just after taking a shower or even in the shower.
Go to the shaving products section in a drugstore or supermarket and look for a post shaving product that contains moisturizers and no alcohol. In the same section look for a face wash product for oily skin

I used to have similar problems. I changed from the general highstreet shaving brands to Zirh shave gel, which greatly helped and then to Geo.F.Trumper shave cream, which really make a difference. It seams to clean, aid the shave, and moisturise all in one. I also changed from a razor with disposable cartridges to
one which uses double sided safety razor blades. I don't think that was what really made the difference though (they're also quite expensive.) I'd also recommend using a good facewash daily. I use Anthony Logistics For Men Glycolic Face Wash. It's very good for me, but different things work for different people.
I get my products from the following site ( this could be considered spam, I suppose, but don't click on it if you'd prefer to research yourself)-

It's got good advice and loads of products that are reviewed by previous users.

Try not to shave every day. As regards oily skin and spots, there r many products on the market which help u. But to b honest I would seek professional help. Either a beautician or a dermatologist.

Always use a new razor, try shaving in a different direction and shave in the bath to make sure the beard is as softened up as possible before you shave.

I used to have a similar problem until i started to use Clarins shaving gel (recommendation) i haven't had a problem since - it may not work for everyone but it certainly did for me.I find the £12 price tag a small fee to pay given the result

Wash the oil off your face with a facial wash eg. clearasil (do this before you shave) and apply aftershave.
Aftershave helps moisturise and stops your skin from going red. Use aftershave balm.
Good luck

make sure you are shaving in the direction of the hair growth otherwise you may be cutting the hair below the surface of the skin and the when it does grow it gets trapped under the skin causing itching and ingrown hairs.

first you must make sure you are cleaning your razor properly, it sounds like you have sensitive skin, try a sensitive shaving foam, and an after shave cream with aloe vera, it should help a lot

Had the same problem, us handsome chaps were born to suffer!
I grew a beard, problem solved plus saves so much time in the mornings.
My wife complained she didn't like beards and I complained I didn't like women who speak and pushed her back into the kitchen where she, like all women, belong - all is harmony now
