We are considering booking a tour, but don't know much about the company. They offered us a good deal if we pay now months in advance of our tour. I have only read about them from their site and other tour agency sites. Any firsthand knowledge would be greatly appreciated.

I was an overland tour guide myself with Nomad (www.nomadtours.co.za) and haven't heard of them. But then, they may be a new company. Make sure their guides are registered with the government. Also compare their website with that of other overland and safari operators.
Backpacker's Lodges/ hostels can also provide trustworthy info on safari operators. Type "safari South Africa" or "backpackers South Africa" into your searchbar.

Wagon Trails are reputable and long standing. They are a budget operator and provide good value-for-money trips. A friend went on a trip with them and thoroughly enjoyed it. As long as you're prepared for a good basic trip (no luxuries) you shouldn't be disappointed.
If you want to double check on them find out if they're a member of SATSA (South African Tourism Service Association). There is a bonding scheme in place for members. In the unlikely event of a member going bankrupt your money is refunded by SATSA.

do not imagine Kenya, reason Kenya is yet another u . s . in Africa. In South Africa an effective position to bypass is the Kruger nationwide Park, that is huge and also you'll see the tremendous 5 there to boot. that is way up in the north of South Africa (borders of Zim and Bots)
