Mikel came off after 75 minutes against Charlton complaining of an injury and the club doctors (not Jose) told him not to play for Nigeria.

He went against that instruction and has now concocted a story about his family being threatened which forced him to play,

Jose is right to demand an explanation.

I think he sidelined Mikel becuase he feels that Mikel needed a rest after ebing forced to play for Nigeria after he was injured playing for Chelsea.

no jose is not fair to sideline mikel just because he played for his country,if thats the case lampard etc should also be sidelined.

Well he did get injured but claimed he was press-ganged into playing.seems his family in nigeria were being threatened.
