If you are talking Hollywood gore then no. I love gory movies the nastier the better. but seeing pics of real mutilated people and getting excited may be a precursor to a bigger problem. I find it as stomatch turning as the next guy

No. It's normal for things like that to be unsetteling unless he's like my friend who's studying forensics and is way into that stuff otherwise he's a normal dude I wouldn't be worried as long as he's a good boyfriend otherwise.

It is if he is between 13 and 15 years old and viewing the pictures is accompanied by a lot of giggling "whoa man I dare you to look at that!" If not it is very creepy.
