ANYONE can fall victim to Stockholm Syndrome. It just depends on how long a person is kept against his/her will, whether there is any attempt by their captor to engender sympathy (and if so, how much), and the predisposition of the person to feel sympathy for others -- obviously a callous, cold-hearted 50-year-old woman would be much less likely than a loving, caring, grandmotherly-type woman.

Absolutely! There are thousand of women of all ages make excuses for their abusive partners. Some experience a level of abuse that most people can not image. I believe that is a form of Stockholm Syndrome.

Anyone, Anytime, Anywhere can! If it is you then at least you can see the situation you are in.Get out any way you can. If it is not then most people involved with a captor ,so to speak ,will never let others help. Good Luck!
