I can only recieve dial up, but it cost £14.99 per month, yet broadband which is the better service can be as little as £5, or even free with sky. Is there a cheaper dial up connection, or is there someone to complain to, about overpriced connection to dial up.

Dial up is so expensive because barely anyone uses it. it is old technology, so it really is a shame that you have to be restricted.
Dial - up cost companies a lot more to run hence the extra cost has to be paid for by the end user.

Regrettably, market pricing applies.
The market for broadband is very competative, but companies do not feel the need to compete for the dial up customer.

broadband is a 1 off fee per month.
dial up you pay for how long your connected through your phone.

you can try adsl or isdn broadband though a standard phone.
try aol broadband which you can use a standard bt phone line for, you can get 2meg broadband easily and it's very easy to set up your self and get online.
