It depends on what you value more, love or material things. But then again, the fact that you asked this question shows already that you do not truly love him, so yes you probably should break up with him.

Plus, does he have any money to buy you something? What are YOU buying him?

No, that'd be pretty shallow of you. Would you want him to break up with you because you didn't get him something...you did get him something didn't you?!

There's plenty of reasons why he might not buy you something....maybe he is conflicted about a holiday that "forces" you to purchase a gift to express your feelings for another person, when that person should know this by now; maybe he doesn't feel that he has to express his devotion on one single day since he does it all year long; maybe he's broke or has limited funds; maybe he doesn't celebrate holidays; or maybe he simply doesn't want to. Is he planning anything else, like taking you out to dinner? Seeing a movie, concert, etc? Renting a special movie and spending some quality snuggle time? There's lots of ways he can express his love for you besides buying you a gift!

I am thinking you should end it now so he can save his money. You are already planning what to do if he doesn't buy you something, so it seems that you already know things aren't working out.

If he doesn't recognize the day in any way, that might tell you something. You don't always have to be given something that was bought to know how someone cares.

Greedy, are we?? Relationships should be on trust and how you feel about one another. Not what he buys for you or material possessions.

By the way, I know you're a teen as teens can't start a sentence without saying "OK" first!

Why wouldn't he get you something is the real question. If a gift is the difference between dating him and not dating him, I wouldn't wait for valentines day. I'd call him now and send him on his way.

Otherwise I'd consider beating him to the punch... Get him something he won't forget for a YEAR!!!!!

Does he treat you well? Is he kind? Does he treat you with the respect you deserve. If the answer is yes then everyday should be valentines day for you, if not, dump him

that would be really shallow of you.... because that would mean that you build your relationships around what others can give you or do for you.

i'd say you can be frustrated, but i dont see it being a good reason to end a relationship.

If you are a GOLDDIGGER, yes you will break up!, but if you are not one, then you will give him a chance for redemption.
