yes, depending on what it is. If it's just a short note to say thanks or whatnot I wouldn't really expect a reply. But if it was a long email and it hinted that I would like to know what's going on, then yes I would expect a reply. It's common courtesy to be responsive. At least send a short reply in return.

A nice thank you should be in order. All of my friends reply this way if I send something they wanted or were looking for, but I don't expect it at all. I would understand, we all get rather busy at times.

not necessary to wait an answer lots of people dont email back coz they were busy.. or some going only in internet cafe and they cant check it daily or for some people they just ignore it especially if its chain letter they going to delete it iam one of that kind of type i dont answer much i rather call them or text them to say hi i got your email thnx.
