I might be able to secure terracotta/glazed porcelain garden pots in the garden without them becoming permanently fixed?

to secure to hard surfaces, i.e. concrete, drill and fix with a rawlbolt through the base. For softer ground drive a wooden plug or wedge level with the surface and secure with a coach screw through the base.
Both these methods deter theft, accidental knock over and the likes and can be easily undone for moing.

use a weak mix of sand and cement IE 6 sand 1 cement
you will then be able to remove the pots without damage
and you Will not have any holes in the bottom

i used a large bolt through the hole in the bottom then screwed them down
