Well, I think these girls are just jealous of your lifestyle. At my school, you are not spoiled or a brat etc. if you wear Hollister, Abercrombie, American Eagle, Victoria secrets Pink Clothing, and Aeropostale. But, bragging about your lifestyle will not make these girls like you anymore.

For starters the clothing lines from those stores have a slightly preppier look and feel to them, not that its a bad thing just the way it is. Secondly, the clothes at those stores carry a more expensive price tag then some others. You may not think that its pricey but, the majority of people do. The reason they are probably calling you a rich spoiled girl is because they see you wearing those labels knowing they aren't cheap. Just a guess you probably don't purchase your own clothes, your parents do with the aid of your input, or they give you money to buy what you want. A lot of people equate that with being spoiled, you don't foot the bill for your clothes, there for you are spoiled in their opinion. But that's just it, it's THEIR opinion. If yours is different, thats great, everyone is entitled their own opinion. Should they be allowed to say mean things about others, no, but that's the right of the First Admentment. It's called turning a deaf ear to it. They don't like the way you dress ignore them, they don't have to wear the clothes! Also keep in mind that it may not be the clothes you wear but the attitude you put forth. If you make it seem that you are better then them, they are going to dislike you for that not the clothes you wear. Bragging, even unintentional or subconscious bragging gives the appearence of a snob. Meaning if you refuse to say hi to them or be mean to them simply because they choose not to wear those clothes, then what can you expect!
Ooh and something I always find funny and a little sad...it amazes me that all of you can spell every expensive name brand clothing label right on the mark but can't spell girls or school..makes me wonder what we are concentrating on in our schools!

Well, most preps do wear those brands, and they are pretty pricey, so the label of preppy rich girl is not completely unwarranted (I do question the spoiled part, though). I think the best thing you can do is to ignore them and be polite--nothing hurts people like that more than seeing that the person they're making fun of is a better human being than they are.

I'm a girl with a guy in a band, we are at equal stages in the business. Usually even though you see him as a real person and you aren't falling all over yourself, you still did meet him at a signing... it would be different if you'd meet on more common grounds, like Wal- mart LLIL Coming from my view, if i were signing CDs and met a guy, wouldn't matter how he acted, he was a fan like the rest of them.

If you can afford to wear those clothes then you are rich and preppy maybe not spoiled, but what can you expect. You don't have to say anything your clothes say it all.....Sorry, but that's the way it is. Save a little money and shop somewhere cheaper.

Simple ignore them. And (somewhat unrelated) there's a difference between a prep and a poser.

I bet they're just jealous of you. Honestly, I wish I could shop at those stores. Just try to ignore them, there's not much else you can do. And if you brag about your lifestyle, they might just be meaner.

If someone is going to judge you by the clothes you wear rather than your personality than you don't need them anyway and there the superficial ones.
