How come you don't see many foreign films on TV/Movies, is there some kind of problem showing them?

I know that sometimes you do see them, but, very few compared to the amount that must be out there???? Almost seems like some kind of surpression.

IFC shows them. The reason is (and people won't like this) some are too involved for us to pay attention-in other words, for it to work in America, it needs to be dumbed down. I can't imagine seeing Fellini or Almodovar films on network tv. We are very lazy when it comes to entertainment.

If you really enjoy foreign films, get a region-free dvd player and order dvds off the net. Its the only way I've been able to find some of the films I love.
