I think it is a silly made up commercialized holiday-- Makes some people feel good and a lot of people feel badly. Like whether someone loves you (and therefore you have value as a human being) depends on what they give you on this particular day-- yeah, right!

I think both, I give my husband gifts of Valentines and he give he a gift. I think most women get a little too wrap up in it. Who care if he remembers or not it is not like it is your birthday.

Women - we seem to be the ones getting all the stuff (flowers, jewellry, candy. Men simply get in trouble if they forget.

Both. If the man remembers and takes care of his woman (gifts, money, dinner), she will in return usually take real good care of him (sex, sex, a few hours of no nagging and sex).
