How many licks does it take to get to the center of a Tootsie Pop?

3, the owl uses only three licks. But I am not an owl and it would take me considerably more, I lost count at around 1000 once. I was bored and had nothing to do. This is an okay catergory, but you may want to ask it in food and drinks as well.
