My question to you is what’s the hurry? You’re super young and have the rest of your life to be married. Enjoy your youth, that way you won’t look back when you’re 40 and regret your actions. I know that there are very few people your age that are ready for marriage. Hell, I’m 24 and know there is no way I’m anywhere near prepared to take that step. I wish you the best of luck in whatever you decide, but if I were you I would hold off.

I was almost 17 when I got with my sweetie and knew him since I was 15 too. I am now 22 and we've been together going on 6 years. He is 4 yrs older than me and we are still engaged to be married and waiting until we can afford to marry. 20 is not too young if the two of you have an unconditional love and respect for each other. 80 yrs ago people were marrying at 17, 18, 19 years old and grew up to have wonderful families and long marriages. Don't let anyone tell you you're too young, maturity is what is the factor and if you have the maturity don't worry about others personal feelings.

Cookie:
It's not the age... it's the maturity.
The mistake young people make is marrying what they want instead of what they need. There's a huge difference.
If you've been together for 5 years and still feel the same way I think you have a good chance of making it. Just do yourself a favor and do not have kids until you have been married at least 2 years.

Yes, 20 is too young. You should first be concerned with finishing school (university) and be on your way with a career before you tie the knot. If you are so in love, why not ensure that your future together will be a more fruitful one? Personally, I thing you should test the waters a bit more before settling down with someone you got involved with at 15. Play the field a bit and then decide if he really is for you. He should be doing the same.

Well if you can date for 5 years (this is exclusively I asume), you are way more prepaired than most! I got married at 20, and the only regret I had was that I wish we had dated longer. As for playing the field as someone else suggested...why? You both love each other, that would only hurt you both. If you know- you know! Why do you need to prove it by dating other people? Good luck to you both!

You should use this time wisely and make sure he's the one you want to spend the rest of your life with. We all change as we get older. Usually when woman are in their mid twenties, they start realizing what they want. Men usually realize what they truely want when they are in their late 20's or mid 30's. Age doesn't make the marriage right or wrong, the people entering into it, make that decision. Work hard at the relationship and treat your man like a king. This is the secret to a long, happy marriage. Thank you and good luck.

"We love each other unconditionally", but, "We can't be without seeing each other for more than 2 days!". That's a condition, sweetie.
Spend two weeks apart, no phone, no text, no e-mail..go out, don't sit at home, don't act you've got a boyfriend...then see how 'unconditional' your love is.
Yeah, 20's too young.

Yes. Best criteria...
You both have...
> A career (not a "job") The difference? Can you retire from what you are doing?
> your own car
> a place to live (not at mommy and daddy's house)
> MOST IMPORTANT...Live together for one FULL year. That way you can make sure of all the "problems".
