A Scanner Darkly is supposed to be one of those "make you think"/"inner message" movies, kinda like Fight Club. i agree that it kinda lacked in plot but the concept was good and the illustartion was innovative. with more development in the story it could have been an awesome movie but sadly it fell way short.

I was kind of confused by it too, but I think that it probably makes more sense with repeated viewings. Of course, if you don't like it the first time, repeated viewings probably won't happen.
