I just got a guinea pig and im not sure what to call him i have given him a temporary name wich is chestnut but can anybodyhave other sugestions

Oh, Guinea pigs can be such fun. Mine learned that when I opened the fridge door, she would get a snack if she squealed.( it never really got to be a bad habit) I would keep prepared carrot strips or some raisins handy. Also, at that time I lived in an apartment that had one of those tiny kitchens that have a bar as one side and the stove & fridge as the other with doorway from the living room. I put a piece of 12 inch x 1 inch wood to block the door to the living room ( thats 12 inches wide ,1 inch thick and about 4 feet long )and my pig would stay in the kitchen and even use the top of a shoe box with some strips of paper for a litter box. Mine was named Shanti and I thought she was just getting very very fat until one night I came home from partying and when I turned on the kitchen light to say hello....booooooy did I get a shock !!! Shanti stuck her head out with a squeak and then a little white head came out and then a brown/black head came out and then another little brown head showed. all these little shining eyes looking at me out of the plastic flower pot (laid on it's side) that Shanti used for her hidybox/bed.
anyway .....i think you should call him Skippy like the peanut butter........have fun !

I think you should stick with chestnut because it is a really pretty name and fitting for your tan hamster.

I like toffee or butters (short for butterscotch), coco, teddy....theres so many, enjoy your little piggie
