I think it is their tradition as they know no other way to not have a monarchy. They are pretty fortunate it is not like it was in historical times. It is more balanced for them now.

She is the head of state, and parliament works on her behalf. Uk, being a democratic country allows the population to chose the members of that parliament. If it was a dictatorship then she would exert the maximum power of her position.

nope. she is a figure head. back in the day, kings and queens were the law, but as time went on, the government of checks and balances was created, the kings and queens were no longer part of the government. either a king or queen was always had the throne....it's now a tradition

YES, she is queen as a right of birth, she is much loved and respected by the majority of her subjects

yes, she is.

she is a figurehead, from whom the font of authority comes from.

it is her government (Her Majesty's Government,) and the politicians do all the dirty work. her hands stay clean and provide continuity of governance as well as a wealth of experience.

she's not only England's Queen......Scotland, Australia, Canada etc.

i'm no expert but if she went and we had a catholic ruler, then isnt it right that the pope and the vatican is entitled to taxes we in the uk pay? or something like that. if this is right then i would say YES!

You mean is Queen Elizabeth II necessary to the political life of England...

answer: no ...she is a figurehead, and our ceremonial Head of State ...

She costs us a lot less than the President costs ... and all of England loves her and all her children... and we want mroe of them

I want to see a reality show on the Royals... kind of like Jade's P.A. except they would choose Wiliams Queen...

Jade could go for it as the 'underdog' :)
