You are entitled to a 20 minutes break for a 6 hour shift.

The law is you have to work 6 hours to have a break. But most companies are not so hard as to make you work 6 hours before you can have a break, they let you take a break during those 6 hours.
I work a 9 hour day and have two 15 minute breaks and a compulsory 1 hour dinner break ( I wanted just 1/2 hour but it was refused)
There has just been a new company law introduced regarding this and maybe you could source it.
