I work on ships.

My company work on a 1:1 leave ratio, meaning that I do 6 weeks away and get 6 weeks at home. if you count it in hours, I spend more time at home than your average person working ashore. The money is great as well, tax free too.

The only downside, si that I get a whopping joblist to do when i comehome.

Where alse will you work 6 months of the year and get fully tax free wages, and see the world for free!

I would say it would be better if I could take my wife to be away with me, but we are negotiating that with my company.

Hard question. So far the answer has been NO! Spent six months on a ship dockside, but still wouln't marry me. "You might lose that job and have to go to sea again." I'm looking while I travel the world, and if I find someone worth settling down with I'll leave the sea immediatly. I've seen it work for some people, and I've seen others cheating at the first port away from home. Do you have enough confidence in yourself being good enough to keep them from straying?

Some people must, because it has been written that 400 sailors will leave on a cruise, and 200 couples will return to port.
And you probably will if you use a term such as '....a trifle gay'

Of course, I did. First the Navy, then our own boats. I think it is 9 boats now counting canoe, kayak, dinghy, rubber dinghy, rubber dinghy with hard bottom, racing sail boat, cruising sailboat, and 2 leading up to the big one.

No because you would never SEA him! Yeah, how original. But when you think about it, its true because he will probably be away from home most of the time, unless you plan to travel with him.
