Personally I like Lilli Marleen, written by Hans Leip in 1915, only the version sung by Willy Fritsch at a later date. 1920's-1940's, I think.


It's in German, but sounds really nice. It's been adapted by the 8th British army, and the lyrics changed a little. But here it is.
