If you are not a computer technican, call a techie and ask them to recover your XP password. Someone is going to have to come over. If you are a computer technican then you can reset the password by reseting the SAM and registry hive, a black screen with a cursor is too spooky. Use L0phtCrack. Either way it's cryptic and it gets screwed up computer isn't coming back up. Not without wiping out everything of course. Make sure you've got recent backups of all of your stuff somewhere. Easiest way is to deal with this though is remember your password. XP passwords are case sensitive. So try Password, password, nothing with Administrator as the password

it depends what your talking about.

are you having trouble getting into your account?

If so, go to the dos mode, which is the safe mode.

see if you have an administrator in your system if not, create one.

use the administrator to change the settings of the other accounts, ,ake sure the Administrator has admin. rights or it wont work.

You can also use the safe made to show you the passwords, thats if the accounts are readable.

so basically, you have to hack your own system you you can't get in to your account, and if you can't get in to your account you might have a Trojan/ZLOB virus in your computer, it controls the operating system and changes everything.

Use Spyhunter, spybot, ZoneAlarm, Ad-ware SE Personal; not McAffe.

McAffe has alot of hole that doesn't notice any trojans lurking around your system.

Do you have any questions about Trojans, Worms, Viruses & Hackers?

I have created a Web-site about Trojan, viruses, worms, and hackers; I search all the major Web-site an post the information on my site.

I would like you to join my site, so you can be updated about these things. Yes. Although you will need to log on using one of the other accounts with Administrative rights in order to set this up.

Click Start - Run
Type "control userpasswords2" (No need for the quotes)
Click OK.
Click on the account profile which you want to be the main log on. Click OK.

Again click START - Run
Again type control userpaswords2
again click OK.

Now, Click to UNCHECK the box next to
Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer.

Click OK.
Reboot.
Now instead of asking for a user name and password, Windows XP will go directly to the desktop.

Yes, Go to control panel then click on user accounts, then click on to the account for the computer adminstrator and click on remove password. Do this for all the accounts you have on your computer.
