Because it reminds us of an important issue...when we forget history...we're doomed to repeat it.

How often do you hear people rant and rave about why we're in Iraq?

We soon forget the obvious and look for the mundane and ignorant responses!

The events of 9/11 were NOT the first time our country has been attacked...yet you see one comment to that effect! Remember Pearl Harbor...oh yeah like THAT was over a hundred years ago! Or the Japanese balloon bombs where they attempted to bomb our mainland without the utilization of aircraft! The German U-Boats sinking ships within our territorial waters...again...oh yeah...those events were over a hundred years ago....right?????

You see the discouraging remarks about the Presidents "downfall" yet when the "chips hit the fan" GWB has used his vast resources of military intelligence and advise from those with much greater capacities to make policies based upon facts...not rumors and innuendo's!

People listen to the sensational stories yet many fail to read for themselves and speak intelligently from their own mouths! It's popular to bash the President, because everyone else is doing it! That takes real brains! Oh yeah!

In time, believe it or not, it won't be considered nearly as important as a number of other events.

It's important, to history, is that it was the first time that there was a foreign attack on the US mainland. Which, when you look at world history, actually isn't that big a thing.

It gave Republicans the excuse to redistribute obscene amounts of money to the military, invade Afghan for a pipeline, invade Iraq to control the oil, and destroy the Constitution at home.

When Repubs are cheering the complete destruction of our once great nation, we'll point to 9-11 as the start.

It is the event that saw a foreign attack on our shores for the first time in over 200 years. It is also the event that this president used to nullify our constitutional rights by the passing of the Patriot act. In otherwords, our democracy was wiped out, just like our enemy Osama wanted his puppet to do in the White house.

because not only did it bring the civilizational war of cultures to our homeland, it actually started this debate on appeasement versus military interdiction in the world on our behalf....now we have a divided country, and the terrorists are laughing all the way to "paradise"..as they plan their next attack....remember, they can wait years, while our society moves at such a fast pace, that a lot of americans have already tried to forget 9/11....and it was not the only foreign attack on our shores in over 200 years, the japs invaded alaska in 1942...only military people got killed, not civilians...in this case, the object was to kill civilians and try to bring down our economy, thus creating panic and eventually, a breakdown of our society, thus enabling them...the muslims...to take over or at least get a hold on our country....
