I am sorry if I offended anybody. I respect America a lot. I just don't like the fact that many of them think that South African's live in Caves. Will you forgive me?

You're more likely to get a belly full of lead......

Conflict resolution's not their strong point!

Don't worry about what the Americans think of South Africans, A lot of them from the south still think that Canadians live in Igloos and think we get around by dog sleds... It's just the way some of them are brought up and they only care about what is right in front of them... I have to go let the dogs in and put more gas in the generator so I can keep the power on my computer...
Good Luck...

No we just think you make the black south africans live in caves - along with communists apparently!!

and I'm sorry to disappoint you i dont want to go and live with you in south africa - i couldnt think of another place id like to live less in fact. Ignorant, unsophisticated and arrogant (cant think what you have to be arrogant about however )

Your throwback colonial english accent does my head in - echoes of the old british superiority complex - you all sound like the bloody queen !!

and im not surprised your licking up to america either- you try to imitate their society and although you have a lot in common - ie no history, no culture, plenty of oppression , corruption - your basically just a boring country where people go to retire when they are to old to care what happens in the real world anymore

i've meet plenty of saffas and by and large the ones i like hate the place.

you have the cheek to call me a communist - i hope i do meet you some day mate

i haven't read any of your other questions, but as an educated American, i don't believe that south Africans live in caves, but i don't blame you for your thinking, because most people here associate lions and giraffes with Africa.

yeah, I'm a little embarrassed :/ - whatever, i still love my country, just not all the people in it :)

I don't know who you are, and I don't know what questions you've asked, but it is a sad fact that the majority of Americans don't even know their neighbors next door, much less anything whatsoever about other countries or cultures. If it doesn't affect their tv-time, their beer, or their pocketbook, frankly they couldn't care less.

Don't apologize for calling a spade a spade. Most Americans are nearly illiterate and highly ignorant of world affairs.

Television, you know.

I forgive you. I'm an American and I think that most Americans are completely ethnocentric. They have no awareness nor interest in other cultures and hisories. Most of the uneducated masses just want to watch t.v. and eat McDonalds and vote for Bush.

Sorry I missed the exchange. When you consider that most Americans go to government schools, the main goal of which is to indoctrinate, rather than to teach, it is no wonder that as a class we are rather ignorant about many important things.

How did you get a computer into your cave? They have electricity in them now?

First of all your headline is not a question so please don't punctuate it with a question mark. Doing so just reinforces our negative stereotypes of you and your country. Secondly, the question you did ask has a subjective answer, I really can't believe you really asked it. Please don't ask a question like that again. Now get back in your cave and come up with some better questions for this site. Thanks :)
