Think having one MIL is bad?! Try having two!!! Yes, you guessed it. My mother-in-law is gay and has been with her partner for years. They started out as best friends and through the years after many divorces and a death (my father-in-law), they became a couple. It's hard sometimes because I have not only one person, but two, to butt in our lives. But on the other hand, I always have a shoulder to cry on. When my husband and I separated, they were on my side and completely defended me. So I really can't complain.

My husband went out to dinner with his divorced Mother. She hooked up with a guy from the bar and left my husband there. My husband took a taxi home (a 45 minute trip). She never apologized.
She tells us all the time that she wants to watch the kids, but is always very busy when we ask.
My husband does tons for her, her yard (mowing, trimming, Christmas lights, etc) helps with her rental property, babysits the dogs when she's away, etc. At one point, she kept calling because he borrowed some money from her and needed to pay her back. I was furious he borrowed since we aren't that strapped for cash. With all the calls, I thought he borrowed $1000 or something. I found out later, from her, that he borrowed $40. She lives in a $300,000 house. Our rent is $685.
She drives me nuts. She's very selfish. She takes advantage of my husband. She ignores me and the kids. I gave up about 6 months ago. Life is better now. I have a pleasant, surface relationship with her now and that's where I'm happy.

I have a great relationship with my father-in-law. He thinks I am the best thing to happen to his son. My mother-in-law suffers from paranoid schizophrenia so it is hard to deal with her sometimes since she is basically crazy. My sister-in-law used to like to run her mouth a lot about things that were none of her business but she has gotten a lot better since she has gotten married herself and had a child. I think she is getting more attention now with the only grandchild so she is more content.

I don't like my mother in law but I'll never tell her that. Its just more ammo she can use against me.
She's all about hogging the kids to herself because she only had one (my wife) and she feels that she missed out.
Can you believe I even let her live with us for a few months? I am so glad she's moved out
