Yes, I know women like this too. I think they do it because they are "begging the compliment." If they say they are too fat then someone else tells them how they aren't. It makes them feel better. They know they're not fat but they want to make sure that everyone else knows it and acknowledges it too. It's really silly and I think it comes down to some basic self esteem issues. However, I do know a person that is very slender and is very critical of her appearance. In her case, I don't think she can actually see herself as she really appears. She might have some kind of body dysmorphic disorder. But in the case of the other women that know they aren't fat but just say it anyway, STOP! It's silly, tired and annoying.

Katie?? Are you a man or woman answering this question??
It's becuase men give attention to anything that even moves in a short skirt ..... so ..... If the woman thinks she is fat she will wear clothes like this as her only way of getting attention from the opposite sex!!!
If she is covered up then she will not get as much attention - Even if it is the wrong type - This makes her feel bad as she feels no one is finding her attractive!!

I think that every person knows someone who is like that in one way or another. Basically when someone like that behaves in that type of manner they are looking for attention. They want to be told how good they look and how thin they are...they need a self-esteem boost for some reason...either that or they are anorexic or something along those lines. They may have other issues going on in their life and that is their way of reaching out for the reassurance that they desire. Then again some people do it just to be the center of attention....it varies from person to person.

yes i do, i had a friend who everytime looses some weight she'll go on and on about how fat she is just so that she can hear people say no you're not. Some people are like that, they like to hear it out loud that they are not fat. I just go right along with them, if they say they're fat who am i to argue i'll just tell them there's plenty of exercises they can do to loose weight or invite them to go jogging with me or tell them what diet they should try. That should shut them up.

i absolutely agree with you. People who really think they're fat diet constantly and cover up,but then there are loads of girls who just say they're fat so you'll say "oh, no you're not. i wish i looked like you". And then they wear the sluttiest, skimpiest clothes. I know people like that and loads of girls in my class are starting to eat only apples in order to lose weight. Just ignore them, don't give them the satisfaction they are looking for. If someone says something like that to you, just say "yeah you're right, you are really fat". They won't like that.

Yes, I think we all do. Those people are just looking for attention. They want people to say things like "oh, you're not fat, I wish I had a body like yours" and such. They're just sad, basically.

do i know people like that. ehmm yes i do. they are always like my thighs are so fat, my belly is bulging and you look and there is hardly any flesh on them to start with. how annoying. i have found out that these people are mainly attention seekers and say stuff like that for you to disagree with them so they can feel good about themselves. and do you know what i do. i do not disagree at all when they say stuff like that

They have been brainwashed by the skiny models, and just want a bit of attention. Just try agreeing with them - 'yes, you are a bit tubby' , bet they won't say it again.
