Actually, in judging the potential for romantic relations, the most important factor is personality. My boyfriend is not dumb by any means but I certainly know a lot of smarter guys out there. Same as far as physical attractiveness is concerned. But he has boyish charm & humor mixed with mature reasoning - a rare combination. My IQ is probably a bit higher than his but he is not intimidated. He is very proud of how smart I am.
I'm not too picky about how guys look, but looks are usually what you first know about a person. They say first impressions are the most powerful & that usually means appearence. And there has to be SOMETHING attractive about him, if only a smile & special glint in the eyes.
* HINT to guys and girls out there. SMILE & stand up straight! Those two hints alone can turn you from a "5" to an "8" (on a scale from 1 to 10) in two seconds flat!

Chemistry/attraction is more important than what they look like or if they are smart...if there's no 'spark' there then no matter how good looking or how smart, there's not likely going to be a relationship.

what is smart? i think it's a twisted word a lot of the time. a person can be smart and be an *** hole. and a person can look great and share a lousy conversation with others. any other comparisons here? this question seems quite shallow!

Honestly, before I talk to a guy I notice his looks but if the guy is dumb as a rock he could be the hottest thing on earth and I would never marry him...I might sleep with him but definetly not want him as a husband

Physicly : Eyes, hair,expresions and smile.
Sentimental: Conversation, the atention he gves when u speak, the intereset he pays to u , and u have to be the first one to leave,
