I have used packet 8 over the last 2 years and very disappointed. Am switching to Bandwidth.com which has a service guarantee they put in writing. These folks are top notch.
Good Luck

Not too pricey is a relative term.
However, if you want your offices to be able to call each over using three or four digit dialing, call local customers using the closest phone system or combine VoIP with your existing lines you are actually looking at a business-class phone system (PBX) that normally does not really fit definition of 'cheap'. But then, again, if your business depends on it for your communications, an hour of downtime or a lost contract may be more than the cost difference.
I'm sure there are plenty other solutions on the market, but I'm more familiar with what Avaya has to offer. Their small-to-medium size IP Office phone system will fit the bill (especially after SIP trunks will be available in the next week's upgrade). Try the resource below for more info on that.

VoIP doubtless is the way to go, however it's principal to get a provider intended for SMB's alternatively than home customers. They are quite specific services (see RingCentral). VoIP is not going to most effective be quite a bit more cost effective than the ordinary PSTN route , it must additionally comprise an 800 number, on-line fax, click on to name, Outlook integration, name manage ..... Many of the objections to VoIP date again to the ninety's. That you could get reliability figures from providers which can be higher than these delivered by your neighborhood cellphone manufacturer. Within a number of years VoIP would be the most effective choice so you may also as well get with it now. BTW, when you get a vigor outage it usually means your in the dead of night, computer systems are useless (no email), photocopiers, faxes .... So loss of vigor is just not an actual objection to VoIP except a business does not need vigor to continue working.
