Would I be violating any sort of law if say I made copies of my repairs that have been done on my Apple Powerbook G4... I have complained to the BBB about how the Apple store at my local mall has done nothing to fix my computer problems besides make me pay for repairs and EVERY single time it hasnt come back fixed at all, if not WORSE.... so what I wanted to do is make copies of my repairs and highlight some stuff, and black out my personal information... and give copies to everyone that walks in the apple store, I dont have to say anything exactly, I just want to show them what they are getting themselves into. and i thought maybe that would make apple respond once and for all to my BBB complaint. I thought about wearing a tshirt with the apple logo "X'ed" out... I am trying to avoid slander... just wondering what everyones opinion on this is.

PS. APPLE SUCKS

As a matter of law, there are several problems with what you are planning to do.
First, remember that the mall is private property, and your permission to be there can and will be revoked if you are handing out flyers or accosting shoppers in any way. You will be escorted from the premises, and likely cited with a "stayaway" ticket, meaning you can't ever go back there.
Second, your disseminating of negative information about the store exposes you to being sued. How do you feel about having to get a lawyer to defend you in a civil action, right or wrong?
If you have exhausted remedies at this store, take it to the next level. Ask the store manager for the regional manager's contact info. Write a letter explaining your problems and request qualified repairs. This is called a demand, and it's required prior to your taking any legal action like small claims court. They may just offer you a new computer, which you could sell and buy a Dell or something else.
Good luck, but don't do anything stupid that isn't going to help you.

There are no loitering laws around malls and plazas. I'd say it would be a matter of time before the store manager chased you off.

You might be better to go to an Apple/MAC forum and rant. Or a few big computer magazine sites that run forums.

Also you can rant on local newspapers, and even consumer complaint television shows.

You really need to look into this before you get sued by Apple for defamation of character, harassment, etc. You could try giving a call to your local police department to find out if what you're planning constitutes peaceful demonstration or not, but I still think you're playing with fire on that one.

If it were me, I would keep calling Apple until I got someone at corporate to resolve the situation - record every call, date, time, who you speak to and what is said - even better, email or write them and keep copies. Then you have ammunition to complain to BBB and/or take them to small claims court if needed.

You would be spending your time better by filing in small claims court. You do not need an attorney. You will file your complaint, show your documents and have your day in court. More than likely they will settle, or make right before the court date. When you go to file a nice person will give you directions on how to.
