I'm not quite clear on your question. But the birth control pill certainly does affect the ovaries: it prevents ovulation. That's how it works (mostly... it does some backup stuff too). It mimicks the higher estrogen levels of a pregnant woman, and suppresses the ovary from releasing an egg.

As far as side effects on the ovary... the pill cuts the risk of ovarian cancer by approximately half. In some cases, long-term use of the pill may continue to suppress ovulation *after* you've gone off of it. It's hard to say how many people experience this, though.

i think you're asking if there's any side effects, and i'm fairly sure that it takes about 10 years of use before any side effects are reported. i wouldn't worry about it but regardless of what anyone else says on here, ask your doctor if you are worried because they know best.
