theyve had a lot of time to acquire a taste in that Nile water...have you ever seen it?...I took a palmfull and drank it politely when in the company of some egyptian nationals( when there last on business ) taking a faluka (small boat) ride...because they said if you drink from the Nile you will return...but that water...blechhhhh...ptoiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii...

I look at it this way. Niles and salties reach gargantuan sizes. Nile crocs are very well known for sitting and ambushing wildebeest, zebra, and all kinds of large herbivores during migration season. Big croc sees a person, and this is what goes through it's head:
"Wow, look at that thing over there. It doesn't have hooves or horns or claws to fight back with, it's kinda scrawny and gangly. Doesn't move too fast, and I bet it can't swim to well either. That's gonna be easy!"

Btw, Nile Crocs are responsible for an average of 300 human fatalities in Africa -every year-!

Crocodiles will attack any animal in or close to the water that looks vulnerable. The larger the crocodile, the larger the animal it can attack. Crocodiles do not distinguish between humans and other animals, they just see everything as food. If you put yourself in a position where a crocodile can attack you, even if the croc has never seen a human before it can see the big sign you are wearing saying "Lunch".
