Go and visit your GP. He will advise you on how to clear your skin and if necessary prescribe oral or topical medication.
An effective over the counter treatment is benzoyl peroxide. Start with a lower concentration as it can be drying at first.
To disguise spots effectivly you need a foundation that gives good coverage. A good one is Dermablend. It is highly pigmented and gives twice as much cover as a regular foundation so you only need a tiny bit. This means your make up won't look caked on. It is so effectve at disguising skin imperfections that it can be used to completely disguise tattoos and birthmarks etc. It's difficult to get hold of so you'd probably have to buy it online (garden pharmacy sell it on their online shop).
Make sure any make up products you use are labelled as 'non-comedogenic' as this means they won't clog your pores and make you break out even more.

Use Clearasil Ultra morning and night. The best I found was the one with little blue exfoliting beads in. Exfoiliting is very important because it gets rid of dead skin and dirt rather than just washing it off. It also softens the skin. Then tone and moisterise.
Don't pick spots! EVER! But, you can squeeze them when they are ready. But, clean your face first, and wash your hands, and squeeze it only when it has a big gross head on it. then immediately clean the area again and wash your face and hands. It seems over the top but otherwise the goo will get into other pores and cause more spots.
To cover them up, I swear by Rimmel. Don't coat yourself in it. They do this great medicated concelor and pressed powder. It's like normal stuff, but has tee-tree in or something, so it helps them heal too. Don't apply concealor with your fingers, apply it with a face sponge or a make-up brush. Make sure it's your right colour as well, there is nothing worse than a spot that's covered in a shade too dark. When choosing foundations and concealors the tip is to go one shade lighter than your skin colour. Never ever were orange foundation. Oh, and there is green foundation. It sounds dead silly, I know, but if you apply it just a little to a bright red angry spot, the green tones down the red pigments. When the green has dried you can use normal concealor over the top.
And i know it'll be said hundreds of times, but drink water, eat fruit, stay happy, do exercise and keep away from the crisps and chocolate.
And don't worry, they pass. All teenagers have them. It's expected. And not a big deal. You will naturally stop getting them in a few years.

Im sure all teenagers go throught the whole spot phase when thier younger and its totally normal to have a couple spots here and there. The do's and dont's
DO
-drink alot of water
- eat fruits
- wash your face with a un-scented wash in the morning and at night (avoid soap tends to dry the skin.)
-If you have a terrible spot, put honey on it just before you go to bed and then cover it with a band-aid; this makes the puss rise so you can pop it in the morning!
DONT
-touch/ pick at the spots
- try to cover the spots up (it makes them look even worse!)
**A really good facial cleanser would be cliniques liquid facial soap with pump
ENJOY=)

1. To kill spots and stop them from forming you need to kill the bacteria that is causing them.
2. This may not apply to your skin but it applys to mine. For 2 years I bought every single over-priced spot cream money could buy. Not a single one helped. My skin was left dry and flakey I didn't no what to do. I decided as my last resort I'd try the doctors. I went and they prescribed me some antibiotics and 2 creams to apply called: Oxytetracycline tablets (BP) Skinoren Cream, and Zineryt powder and solvent sollution. They have worked wonders, by the 4th month of using them my skin was clear. I really reccommend these products. Maybe take a visit to the docs and tell them about these products??
3. I reccommend you stick to one make-up brand, instead of buying lots of different brands of make-up. If you stick to the same brand, they tend to do the same colours in foundation, and concealor so they blend in with your skin tone better. My wonder make-up is N°7. They do a variety of make-up to suite all skin types.
To get the opinion of an expert go to beaties, or boots. They have counters there with make-up artists that can help the best make-up to suite you.
5. Here are some of my techniques in step-by-step form.
-Start with a foundation base.
Application Technique:
Put a little foundation on the hand(add a complimentary tone if necessary).Dot it over the face-on the nose, the cheeks, the chin and the temples and in between the brows.Using the tips of two fingers or a small clean, dampened sponge(from which excess water has been removed) blend the foundation.Always work from the face outwards, to avoid an accumulation of the foundation around the hairline-move from the cheeks to the ears, from between the brows down over the nose, from the chin out towards the jaw, then onto the neck.Work quickly, carefully and lightly.Blend well around the hairline, on the neck, below the eyes and behind the ears. Also take the foundation over the eyelids. Finally blot the face with a clean dry tissue, pressing it lightly over the skin.
-Covering blemishes
STEP 1: Wash your hands before handling your face. Dirt and oils on your hands will only aggravate the blemish. STEP 2: Choose a concealer appropriate to the color and type of blemish you wish to hide. Concealer is a creamier foundation makeup with added pigments intended for specific parts of your face. STEP 3: Pick a yellow-tinted concealer to hide red blemishes; choose a concealer a little lighter than your blemish for hiding darker marks. STEP 4: Choose a masking cosmetic (which is thicker than concealer and has added pigment) to hide more prominent blemishes, such as small scars left from pimples or skin irregularities. STEP 5: Apply the concealer or masking cosmetic over the blemish using your finger, an eye shadow brush or sponge. STEP 6: Blend the edges with the surrounding skin, using a circular motion.
-Applying powder
Make sure the foundationis well blended.Blot the face lightly with a tissue, especially over the forehead, nose and chin.Pick up the powder on the puff and press it firmly on the face, one area at a time.Don't try to smooth it on by massaging the puff over the face. Now using a soft, thick powder brush, whisk away the excess, with downward movement to stop the powder getting caught in the fine facial hair.
-Applying blusher
Use the colour on the blush area. This is the part of the face between parallel lines, one extending outward from the corner of your eye and the second from the bottom of your nose.Smile and lightly touch the blusher brush on the fatty part of the cheek and gently brush the blusher toward the temple, making a slight curve.A touch of colour across the forehead and on the chin cometes the look. The cream rouge is applied to the cheeks with the fingertips in small amounts and spread in the desired fashion. The powder blusher is applied with a brush.
-How to apply eyeshadow
The following steps are followed in the application of eyeshadow shades.
i.Using a fine, blunt-ended brush, gently apply the base colour to the entire lid from the inside to the outside corner and from the base of the lashes to the eyelid crease.
ii.If the eyes need extra definition, a deeper shade is blended into the crease line. This gives depth to the eyes.
iii.The brow bone is highlighted with a light shade. This gives the eyes a wide, open look. The colour is applied to the most prominent area and blended up towards the brow and down to where the contour curves down, toward the eyelid creases.
Before using them on the lids, always test the colours on the back of the hand to test the intensity. You can use even 3-4 colours, provided they are blended well.Remember pale tones emphasize, while deep sooty shades define.
-How to apply eyeliner
Test, on the back of your hand, the amount of pressure you should apply.Unless you are a real artist, it is best to steady your elbow on a flat surface.Work from the inside of the eye to the outside corner and keep the line light and even.If you stop at the corner of the eyes, the effect will be round and wide-eyed;if you continue the line and sweep it up and out, you would get a more exotic look. Finally smudge the edges with a cotton bud to soften them.
Application Technique For The Pencil Eyeliner:
Pencils can be used in the same manner to define or extend the shape of the eyes, but they give a softer, more natural line.Keep them sharpened and ready for use, as blunted or broken points can spoil the whole effect.
-How to apply mascara
For best results, first look down and brush the top lashes from the roots downwards, then look up and brush the top lashes upwards. Then still looking up, brush colour on the lower lashes.Wait for a minute for them to dry, and similarly apply a second coat. Finally brush with a clean dry brush, to separate the lashes.
Hope it helps xoxo

Hi, Keep your skin clean and try and avoid touching it too much during the day ( hands are always germ spreaders! ). Drinking plenty of water can help. Clearasil Ultra is brilliant for clearing skin and clearing spots fast. Use a concealer to camouflage them but don't use too much as it will just highlight them!
