is there an engine difference between 1999 m5 and 2000+ m5 ???

No real engine difference from 98-03. Big difference between 03 and 06.
91-95 E34 ~310HP l6
98-03 E39 ~400HP V8
06+ E60 500HP V10
The years listed are US sold years. The M5 was sold elsewhere before it got to the US. Not sure where you are.

Well..yeah. 2007 M5's are 5 liter V10's with 500 horsepower.

I'm not even going there, ask the dealer, better yet their service department, they will know everything as they work on them everyday
