If I were to rank them, it would be three, then one, then two.

I wasn't that crazy about number two. One was good, as it was new, and something interesting to watch. Three did a great job of tieing up all those loose ends from the first two, and giving you a lot of background information.

That, and the machine that twisted that guy was pretty cool. The pig grinder thing was pretty disgusting.

The only problem I had was with the "necklace" the Dr. Was wearing. Why not walk around, find something to place between the hammer(s) and the Primer(s) on the shotgun shells to her contraption. Then, she would not have died.

The first one. By the third one, they focused more on the traps and gadgets and they lost their way.

The original was just chains and a hacksaw, but there was the reverse beartrap. Now everything is some specially designed intracate machinery that no sane person could think up.

I have yet to see Saw 3 though I have it at home but I heard the 3rd one was the best.
