I went to the tanning bed yesterday morning. When I got out I had white bumps all over my hand like bug bites. After I put lotion on my hand the bumps went away but there are still white marks. Can somebody tell me what they are??

You may have had a reaction to one of the chemicals that is used to clean the acrylic on the beds (the clear plastic that covers the bulbs that you lay on). I would ask the salon what kind of cleaning solution they use on the beds and what is in it. Also make sure that you clean the bed before and after you get done. Alot of people do not clean those beds when they get done, so you are laying in someone else's sweat! My suggestion would be to find a stand up bed. They tan you more evenly and you don't have to lay in those beds or touch anything!

Do a search online for tanning bed side effects and see what you discover. I don't recall hearing of that issue.

Also try calling the tanning bed salon and ask them if they've ever seen/heard of anything like that occuring.

If it itches then u might be allergic. I never heard of bumps but white spots people constantly get from taning because some places don't get as much light as other.

They might have come from the heat of the tanning bed.
