I have been having to scan my computer every few days or so, and every time, I find numerous adware bugs that I have to quarentine. How is adware threatning to my computer, and what are some good programs to help prevent it. I am currently using Symantic (I think that's how it's spelled) software, but it doesn't seem to be very effective towards adware appearing on my computer.

I am not a computer expert, but I think the symantec is for virus protection, for spy ware, I use spybot and it works fine for me.
I has adaware from lavasoft and AWG, but they are only trial periods and once they expired I take the next one. Spybot so far I think it's the best.

Your Symantic software is the best as far as I am concerned. Are you sure you have your adware "ON" and working? You might check to see if this is the problem. Your computer might already be infected and if that is the problem you will probably have to take it in to a computer store to have them get rid of the problem. I am having the same problem right now. Every couple of days when I turn my computer on at the bottom of my screen an icon comes up and says " windows is infected" so I have to run a scan and quarantined the problem but it only temporarily gets rid of the problem. I talked to the computer man today and he said that the problem is still in one of my programs and is not really out of my computer even though I have run my scan and guarantined the problem. I am taking mine in to be fixed.
Good Luck

Two different concepts. Spybot Search & Destroy provides pretty good protection. The best approach is the create a virtual environment for "questionable browsing" - using something like Virtual PC by Microsoft. That way if the system gets infected, it doesn't affect the rest of the computer.
