i am trying to install 2 dvd drives. how do i set one as master and one as slave? in BIOS? where in BIOS?

you could do it eitherways. one using the jumper and setting as master or slave or through the bios. most new bios allow you to "set device priority" this setting is mostly found under the boot options you could also try that

There is a jumper on the back of the drives...a little black plastic thing that connects 2 pins. One position will be master and another will be slave. The drive itself should have a diagram that telsl you which pins are for which setting.

No, on the BACK of the drives are sets of pins that you connect (or Not) to set Master & Slave.

There SHOULD be a diagram on the case of the drives or definately in the owners manual

theres a jumper in the back ... there should be a key on the label on how to set them also ... put the master on the end of the cable and the slave on the middle connector ...

Hi. The drives have jumpers on the back, usually 3. One should jump "MA" (master), one should jump "SL" (slave). The third is "CS" (cable select) but you can ignore this.
