Everyone is selling 80 now, and I want to buy the 60 for a reasonable price but can't find it anywhere. Also, I'd prefer to avoid ebay if possible and purchase directly from a store.

Right now you probably can't, except as a used/refurbished item. Why you'd want to get the 60GB over the 80GB I don't know, though. Consider this:

60GB 5G iPod Video:
- cost $400
- has a dimmer screen
- has shorter battery life
- has less capacity
- has no Search function

80GB 5.5G iPod Video:
- cost $350 ($50 _less_)
- has a brigher screen
- has longer battery life
- has an additional 20GB capacity
- has the new Search function
- and still maintains the exact same physical size, so all 60GB accessories will be fully compatible with the 80GB iPod, including cases.

Your best bet now is eBay. Nobody carries the 60GB iPod anymore. They will carry the 30GB and 80GB versions in stores now. Apple stopped selling them, which is why you wont find it in any stores now.
